When the 89th legislature passed SB12 and SB13 to protect parental rights and to prohibit the exposure of children to sexually explicit material, among other protections, it did not come with sufficient teeth to enable parents to defend their rights and ensure ISDs and local governments implement the policies set by these laws. This bill gives citizens standing to hold government accountable.
